Delbert Charging Crow is an Oceti Sakowin Teton Oglala Lakota Traditional Stone Carver. Coming from a long line of distinguished carvers, Delbert sourses and carves stone in the traditional ways that were passed down to him. He pulls out each animal nation from the stone, for the people to see. Each piece he creates, goes through four ceremonial traditionas. When these important steps are completed, each stone carving becomes ready for an individual relationship with their new human friend.
